Cuddy Action Group, a local environmental group based in Peebles which carries out small conservation projects and clean ups on the Eddleston Water, is organising a BioBlitz on the Eddleston Water at the end of May. The BioBlitz will be over two days. Friday 25th is restricted to school children invited from the schools in and around Peebles. Saturday 26th is open to the public.
The group has been in touch as they are looking for any experts who would be willing to offer their time on either or both days to help groups identify what they have found and to take the lead in events throughout the day. As with all BioBlitz the aim is to record as many species groups as possible. Once there is a list of confirmed volunteers they will be able to formalise the timetable of the two days. Some background information can be found at http://www.bonniepeebles.org/?p=347. You can also contact the Group through this article. So if you think you can assist with the BioBlitz please get in touch with them.
